CDC's Nairobi base eastern Africa's growing conservation hub Since our launch three years ago, CDC has shared offices with first the Kenya Wildlife Service and more recently, World Wildlife Fund. Our need for purpose-built facilities and space to grow encouraged us to think of other solutions. In April 2001, we moved into our own new premises in ACS Plaza, approximately 5 minutes by car from Nairobi's city centre. ACS Plaza also hosts other conservation groups such as the WWF Eastern Africa Regional Office, the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), the IUCN African Elephant Specialist Group, and the CITES Monitoring of Illegal Killing of Elephants Programme (CITES-MIKE). The complex is fast becoming a conservation hub for eastern Africa. purpose-built facilities We have made efforts to ensure that our new offices are fully equipped to facilitate project management as well as to create a conducive and highly productive work environment. We are also making strong efforts to take advantage of technological improvements as they emerge, to ensure that our work environment remains on a par with those of leading organisations around the world, whether in the developed or in the developing world. local delivery and expertise The location of
