a one-stop source for project support We want to make it easy for other organisations to outsource the environmental conservation support they need. That is why CDC has assembled a range of the most needed skills and experience under one roof. We are fortunate in having both a wealth of practical project know-how as well as growing capability in the science of project design, management and monitoring. We have also established a network of associates to complement our in-house capabilities. flexible support Our inputs are tailor-made to fit the circumstances - ranging from targeted individual inputs to complete packages spanning from project design through to implementation. Developing effective monitoring and evaluation systems for projects is another focal area for CDC, especially due to the slow pace of environmental change and the difficulty of linking project interventions with conservation impact. Such monitoring systems enable successes and failures to be measured and project approaches modified accordingly in for the long haul We believe that successful environmental conservation needs long-term involvement rather than quick fixes, and that this in turn calls for long-term partnerships between organisations that build on the particular skills and capabilities of each. CDC is an ideal partner in that we seek to provide specialist technical and managerial support expertise that many environmental conservation organisations lack. For example, we have recently forged a partnership with the Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS) in designing and implementing several new project initiatives in the region because FZS recognises it lacks certain key capabilities and finds it more cost effective to outsource these by partnering with CDC. Please contact us if your organisation is interested in exploring the possibilities of partnering with us, or of obtaining selected support services. project examples The map of Africa below shows the countries
